Dr Kaddour completed his undergraduate study in 2000 where he was awarded for excellence in clinical skills. He went on to work in private practice as well as with local and state sporting teams. There he developed a keen interest in acute and chronic low back conditions and shoulder injuries. He has undertaken further courses on shoulder injuries since graduation. He also worked as physiotherapist for a prominent orthopaedic surgeon treating patients pre-operatively and also following their rehabilitation back to their everyday and sporting activities.

In 2003, Omar Kaddour's interest in low back pain led him to returning to undertake further study, where he researched the diagnosis and treatment of low back disc injuries with many of Mebourne's top spinal surgeons. He was awarded his PhD in 2008 from the University of Melbourne. He has presented his findings internationally and is currently preparing manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals. He is recognised locally by specialists and surgeons for his expertise in spinal rehabilitation.
